Our mission is to create a supportive network for women journalists and promote gender equality in media.
Who We Are
NAWOJ is a professional association established to promote the welfare of female journalists in Nigeria and advocate for gender equality in media practice.
Since our inception, we have been at the fore front of championing the rights of women in journalism, providing professional development opportunities, and creating a platform for networking and mentorship.
Our members include reporters, editors, producers, and media executives from print, broadcast, and digital media across all 36 states of Nigeria.
NAWOJ is a voice for the voiceless, advocating for greater inclusion of women in politics and governance. We also advocate for an end to all forms of gender-based violence and promote education for girls.
